Hello All! I have a 2017 GT350R chassis HR687. Does anyone have the final breakdown on the 2017 production number totals and production of each specific model and option pkgs yet? Ford SVT told me there were 942 R's made and about 6000 GT's. Also, what is a good street tire to run on an R since no other company makes the R rear tire size? Can I run the front tire size on the rear of the R? I have seen phohot of guys running the 325-30-19 on the rear but it looks too large for the wheel well. I wanted to go with the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. Thanks!

@Biggest for a 2017 anything between 5 and 10 over is a good price but you'll have tough time finding the color you want. Popular color/stripes combo can easily go for 15/20 over. I'm not sure if I would even try to buy a 2018. Being the last production year I'd be surprised to see anything below 20 over sticker. My advice is to be patient and keep calling around all over the country. I got mine at 7 over sticker out of pure luck. Every single dealer that I spoke with before finding mine would not go below 15. All you need is one lucky situation where they are trying to get rid of it

@  panzer69 : (29 January 2018 - 01:15 PM)

yeah i agree with that, my dealer is selling his 60k above

IF YOU FOUND A GT350R AT MSRP ITS PROBABLY ALREADY SOLD TO SOMEONE ELSE .... JUMP ON IT ... DO NOT PAST GO DO NOT COLLECT $200

@  Biggest : (27 January 2018 - 10:10 AM)

Hey Guys, im new to this forum(registered now) Can any of you give me an idea of what a good price for a new 2017 Gt350R is? I have one on hold in New Jersey, Black with white stripe and electronic package, MSRP is $68020, I have not found one at MSRP so my question is whats a good/decient price on a 2017? Thanks

It will be really interesting to see what kind of tunes will be coming out for the GT350!  Just looking at what's been developed for the Mustang 5.0L and the Mustang EB should spark some really cool stuff!

JLT is already doing some with their new intake. They claim an additional 32 HP.

There's not really a lot that you can do to a 2015+ GT350 as Ford has figured out how to make niche vehicles.  You'll get some people like Hennessey to toss a super charger on there - if you want power, just get a GT500.  GT350s were not and are not about power - rather they're for road courses.

Do they sell the tune or do you have to take it somewhere? Couldn't find it on their site.

Can ford service tell if you have flashed your PCM?  If so wouldn't this void a warranty?  I know that there is an option for most devices to 'return to stock' however I've heard that Ford has a way/device to check if your ECU has been flashed or not.

Getting mine tuned at Revolution Automotive !!! JLT Intake and Lethal Performance off road pipes (catless)  brings it to almost 500whp.

That is a nice bump in HP. On the exhaust side, no headers added? Just catless exhaust?

I have more than one passenger who would disagree about the 350 speed....

One would think that on the GT350 model Ford would max out everything for power.

That said, I know with a CAI, a reliable tune and headers ..... Ive heard hp gains at the rear wheels in the 500 range ..... which for a naturally aspirated car is

pretty good.

I havent done this because I have a oil consumption problem and I need to take care of this issue and make sure it doesnt get worse so if i need

a new motor I can get one from Ford

Ok, I always try to post public service stuff for the interested...No interest in either company I mention....I have a 16 GT350 that's basically stock, new filter (not CAI) and that's it. I purchased an SCT X4 with a custom tune from Evolution Performance. Take a look at their website: https://www.evoperform.com/shop/ for more info. (They have a 2200 HP Mustang and are well respected in Philly region). There are some little tricks as to how you accomplish the tune (no one told me to connect to the car first so the box can acquire the engine info like "strategy number" and THEN take it to the windows based computer to update the tune box with proper drivers...which was plain and simple when I did it) so drop a note if you get stuck. All told, took me less than 30 mins.

Here's the thing (and this goes back to Don's statement about why Ford didn't open it up from factory)....the car was instantly noticeable...and I mean noticeable. Wasn't expecting this since I didn't even flip the CAI. I've never had it break loose in 2nd simply by pressing the pedal (no clutch) but it now does it. Where it used to provide full power around 7700...it's now feeling the same about 5000 and stays that way all the way up. The vendors say it's about 36 HP and PE even has a dyno tune posted to review. I see/feel nothing to indicate it is not what they say. Now, here's the kicker for the blue hairs....in 6th gear at 70 mph...I'm getting 28 mpg....yes 28, no crap, miles per gallon.

You probably already know you can take it right back to stock at any time so don't worry there. I have a reasonable dealer local so not worried about those tenuous warranty conversations. Hope this helps. IF you get stuck on an install, just hit me up. Again....no stock in either company. LOL
