You probably not going to get alot of help on that car .... this site is mostly about the 15-18 GT350 models .... you need to go to site that specializes in those years of cars

I have 1800 miles on 2017 GT350. When I was tracking it the dipstick kept coming out of the filler tube and enough oil to make a sizable cloud of smoke. Ford can't find anything wrong. Any ideas?

@  Fantiniastic : (31 December 2017 - 01:10 PM)

@Hell on Wheels I have just over 1000 miles on mine and I experience the same thing - don't think it's abnormal. I've read its an expected behavior of this engin

@  smokum : (30 December 2017 - 10:28 AM)

Try calling the hot line at FRPP .....

@  Hell on Wheels : (28 December 2017 - 09:58 PM)

My 2017 GT350 has 4000 miles on it. At about 2600 it started ticking upon acceleration and deceleration. There is a sweet spot in between. I've been told this is piston slap. Problem is it doesn't do it only when cold and doesn't go away when warmed up. This sound makes me cringe every time I drive the car. This sound can't be normal but Ford can't diagnose it. Help?

@  amorriso5044 : (27 December 2017 - 07:54 AM)

@  amorriso5044 : (27 December 2017 - 07:53 AM)

New to the group but i am looking to swap heated and cooled GT350 seats for GT350 track pack Recaro racing seats.. i know a lot of people don't like the feel of them but i personally love them my stupidity not getting them with the car when i bought the car. If anyone hears of anyone wanting to swap please let me known thanks

Anyone want to sell me their factory car cover?

@  Fantiniastic : (24 December 2017 - 11:18 AM)

I've been driving around for the first 2 weeks of owning this car in normal mode with the exhaust, steering and shocks in sport. Had no idea how aggressive the ECU mapping was in SPORT. Holy cow!

@  smokum : (20 December 2017 - 01:00 PM)

mine isnt that bad .... no where near it ..... but once i reved to high and didnt have the clutch fully engage and got that smell .... it was my fault .. it did go away after a day ... i know better .. anyway go to your Ford store .... the clutch is covered for 12 mths or 12000 miles for defects ..... you might get lucky and get it replaced under warranty

@  Hitman1 : (19 December 2017 - 03:15 PM)

My 2017 GT 350 with just over 3000 miles has a burnt clutch/ burnt rubber smell coming from motor area and when A/C is turned on the cockpit is filled with the burnt smell. Regardless if I've been driving it or just sitting in the garage. Horrible smell emanating from engine bay... Any ideas? FYI - The clutch seems fine, no issues and has been driven correctly and easy in the first 3000 miles.

@  smokum : (14 December 2017 - 02:35 PM)

Rprout, my car consumes a quart about every 1200 miles give or take. I drive it aggresively on the streets using lots of high RPMS ... according to ford this is within normal limits of the design

@  Rprout : (13 December 2017 - 07:39 PM)

My 2017 GT 350 consumed 1qt in 920 miles - spirited street driving only - I see at least one person here with oil consumption issues. Anyone else? Remedies?

@  Foon : (08 December 2017 - 01:46 PM)

I changed dead battery in 2008 Shelby, now my instrument cluster is not working correctly. No fuel indication , no oil pressure indication,no blinkers or 4 ways(indication). All lights work but don't indicate. Did I blow a fuse, does the computer need reset??

@  smokum : (07 December 2017 - 03:30 PM)

Congrats tipmartinez ..... incredible car isnt it

To my knowledge, this is the only location/site available. I live in Ohio, so certainly not convenient for me but I figured I'd spend some additional time while out there and make a vacation of it.

What dates are people signing up for? I signed up for June 1st and 2nd, will fly in on the 31st for the dinner event the night before. I live around Atlanta, so it's not next door to me either, but I could fly round trip, pay for lodging and a rental car, all for about half of what a one day track event costs, so I think it will be a great time. I went ahead and opted for the full race car for the 2nd day, it should be exciting.

Flying in from Ohio June 4th, track days 5 & 6 with Boss 302 day 2. Figured I'd turn it into a little vacation and check out some national parks while all the way out there!

Just attended 5/2 and 5/3 sessions. If you want a great experience and to learn what these great gt350's will really do this is a must. You will probably drive the school cars on the track harder than your own on the street or track. Exhaust whail is magnificent and the brakes are phenominal. Overall facility is probably as good as you'll ever see. Gt350on one tighter track and almost all in 3rd gear. About 110 at 8200 in third at end of main straightaway. Don't realyy need to do much to prep car. More neg camber, higher tempbrake fluid, roll bar and rear seat delete.

2nd day in boss302 frs race car with slicks. They take about 400 pounds out of the car, covert to coil overs and add a big wing. Straight pipes in a tin can. Awesome. If your already there don't miss the second day if you can swing it somehow. Instructors are very good and really want to teach you wherever possible.

I posted the question about if anyone had attended the GT350 Track Attack on May 6. I attended this past  Monday May 9 and also did the Boss 302 on Tuesday May 10. I agree with SROLD's post above. This is an excellent program. If you have ever wondered what your GT350 is capable of and do not dare to push your new baby to the limit then you can discover what a GT350 can do using one provided by Ford. The GT350s used for the program are the base model with Track Pack option. This is an great program with excellent instructors. The skid car exercise was very good fun. Ford demonstrates that they care about there customers. Thank you Ford. On the second day I got to drive a race prepped Boss 302. I was told that it is 600 lbs lighter that a GT350. It has race slicks, full roll cage, 6 speed manual, race seat, 6 point racing harness, race computer with shift lights, a rear wing the size of a lengthy snowboard and a very free flowing exhaust with a great Ford V8 sound. The only problem for me now is after driving the GT350 on the track with the exhaust in sport mode and as well the Boss 302, everything else including my own GT350 when in the normal exhaust mode sounds lame. What an exhaust sound! There were 11 participants in our group. Eight from the U. S. and 3 from Canada. Two ladies and nine guys. Two of the participants drove their GT350s to Utah. One from California and the other with his wife from Vernon, British Columbia, Canada. Find a way to make time and get to Utah to drive a GT350 on a great race track that is an outstanding facility. This track has the best facilities that I have ever seen of any track that I have been to with the possible exception of Indianapolis. It is also located in a very beautiful area in a valley surrounded by snow capped (at least in the month of May) mountains.

2017 Track Attack registrations are open!  I'm in for the two-day program.  First day in a GT350 and the second day I upgraded from the Mustang GT to a Boss 302.
