I'm going to use Motul motor oil for my track use and was looking for suggestions on the oil filter to use. Best I can find is guys are saying to stick with the Ford OEM filter. Any suggestions?

@  KT/GT : (10 July 2017 - 10:28 AM)

I figured out how to disable to default valves in the pipes so the car's exhaust can be in track/sport mode all the time. With the car running and the exhaust in track mode (valves open) just unplug the wire connection at the rear of the car right by the exhaust tips. The valves must be open when you do this as the wires disconnected keeps it in whatever position they are in when you disconnect them. When you start the car it shows you a warning that the exhaust mode is not available but it goes off in 2 to 3 seconds and you do not have to hit "ok" to get rid of it. Much easier than changing it to track/sport mode each time.

I also will be using this car on the track and I have been told to disable the air bags as they have been activating on the rumble strips. Is this as simple as taking out a fuse?

@  KT/GT : (03 July 2017 - 06:07 PM)

Anyone out there know how to keep the exhaust in track/sport mode 100% of the time?

I am looking at getting a Shelby sometime in the next few weeks. I'm just curious what you all paid? I know R is going for 25-35k over msrp but I'm just looking for the non-R models. My goal is 5k but closest I have found here in so cal is 12k.

I paid 10k over msrp.  Mine is not an R. I got it from Chapman Ford in Scottsdale, AZ (I live in Colorado). Local dealer is asking 25k over MSRP. Denver Ford dealers asking 10K - 25k but most have a waiting list. Chapman might have one available. Ask for JJ Markley.  I've read on various posts that some ADMs are dropping and some dealers are selling at MSRP. I looked all over but 10K was the best I could do, but I ordered mine late Aug 2015 (and it has 3,700 miles on it).

I called JJ and he said they are getting the second Shelby next week. But the price is $15k over and that's the lowest they will go. I'm heading to San Diego right now because there is a dealership that has 14 GT350s in stock!

That sucks (10k was greedy enough). Good luck in San Diego and keep us posted!

So bad news...they do actually have 14 in stock and for a good reason. They won't go lower than $25k over msrp. I'll be back at it again tomorrow. Hoping los Angels will treat me better tomorrow. After sitting in one today and listening to the exhaust...I WANT IT NOW!!! Haha

Paid MSRP!  Just arrived home last night after picking up my white 2016 GT350 at Sales Ford in Grove Hill, AL.  This car was advertised on Craigslist AND their dealer website at MSRP.  When I called last week, salesman I talked to told me $5000 over MSRP, SO, I called back the next day and spoke with the Sales/Finance manager, Debbie.  I told her I'd buy it immediately at MSRP (as advertised) so she told me she would call me back.  30 minutes later she called back, told me that she told the dealership owner that they shouldn't advertise at MSRP and then ask for the ADM, and proceeded to sell me the GT350 at MSRP!  So, I gave her a deposit via credit card and flew down to Mobile, AL Weds night, dealer picked me up Thursday morning, and I got home yesterday with my new Shelby!

You are a wise man. I spent a lot of time on the internet and the phone looking for one at MSRP, but that was back in Aug of 2015. Couldn't find any and I was willing to go to any state in the nation save maybe Alaska.

Fortunate enough here to pay MSRP, GT350 tech pack, Magnetic with black stripes. Golfing buddy is sales manager at local dealer; so that didn't hurt.

A local dealer is getting the exact car I want (white w/ blue stripes and tech package) and want to charge 10k over. I'm seriously contemplating taking that deal. But expected delivery is 2 weeks. So I have 2 weeks to find one for 5k over or msrp.
