@Randy Nichols - I would bet there are a few people out there that would consider a trade if they track their car some but have the electronics package.

@  R@dSonja : (24 October 2016 - 06:17 PM)

@David Bechtold - I personally LOVE the Recaros and would not have it the other way. I think they will break-in some with seat time as I can already feel mine conforming in a good way. I will say that size and body type will definitely have an impact on your impressions of the Recaros. The other/regular seats are nice as well and I wouldn't have an issue with those after sitting in a few. They are similar to the Recaro seats from the Boss.

is anyone intersted in buying a 2017 gt350R

@  markinchicago : (12 October 2016 - 11:36 AM)

Ford (F) – The US auto giant is closing its Mustang factory in Michigan for a week after US sales for the vehicle plunged 32% in September. The plant, located in the city of Flat Rock, employs 3,702 workers.

@  RHERRLIN : (08 October 2016 - 11:56 AM)

does anyone have a better idea of the actual # of 2017 GT350 to be produced and sold ? also what about theGTt350 R

@  smokum : (07 October 2016 - 10:45 AM)

Regarding production on hold, I was told mid January 2017. The plants are closed now till than.

@  smokum : (07 October 2016 - 09:55 AM)

Even dealer employees have to pay sticker !!..... but no adm fee. Just bought a 2017 Race Red with black strips GT350 ...... I traded my 07 GT500 750hp go fast car with drag radials which honestly was becoming burdensome to drive. Any rain and it was dangerous to drive with my NT05R's ... esp living in Florida !! Looking forward to becoming a active member don

@  kickman22000 : (03 October 2016 - 02:57 PM)

Have you tried a different dealer? Some dealers have to sell a certain amount of mustangs before they can get any G350/350r's. I had to go to a couple different dealers before I found one that would take my order, but I live in So cal.

@  Lucky17 : (03 October 2016 - 01:42 PM)

I just ordered my 2017 Shelby GT350 and was told that production is on hold, anyone know why and for how long ?

@  CANADIANSHELBY : (28 September 2016 - 09:46 PM)

Thanks for your answer Andy. It'll be interesting to see the final numbers for the cars shipped to Canada. I also read that we did not receive any of the 2015's in Canada.

@  Twarken : (27 September 2016 - 10:00 PM)

@  Anthony Marich : (26 September 2016 - 10:21 PM)

@CANADIANSHELBY From my understanding, the GT350R's were numbered differently from the normal GT350's given their different limits on production for every year. But if someone has the 100% for sure answer then by all means.

@  CANADIANSHELBY : (19 September 2016 - 07:22 PM)

Thanks for the welcome! I found your site last night and am always ready for a good SHELBY or BOSS discussion! I've had my share of these cars over the years and am convinced that there are no better cars built, than these two. I was also interested to see that the first SHELBY sent to Canada was under build #G5520293, My GT350R was under build #G5520310. Would it be known yet if Canadian build numbers were accepted and built, in numerical order? My chasis # is GRO46. I've noticed on other non-R's,the chasis numbers are 4 digit numbers, were the R's numbered separately from the non-R's? Thanks for you time and any answers you might have.

@  SilasT : (19 September 2016 - 06:31 AM)

After waiting 13 weeks I finally got my 2017 GT 350. After a 50 mile test drive I got home, only to find a screw in the middle of my right front tire. Due to the speed rating these tires cannot be repaired and replacement cost is around $400. When you purchase ask about Fords road hazard extended warranty. For $825 you get 7 years road hazard protection which covers replacement tire and any related wheel damage (unless you do something stupid like “curb” the thing. Towing to a Ford dealer within a 100 mile radius, if needed. Nobody stocks these tires so the also include 2 days car rental. This was not available in previous years and is a no-brainer. Don’t pass it up. Will have new tire tomorrow and ready to hit the road.

Question: I have a 2016 GT 350 with Recaro seats that I dont care for, has anyone replaced them and if so with what?

2017 GT350 Black w. Blue stripes(Conv. Package/Car Cover/Blue stripes) ATLANTA area. 404-667-9609 JUST GOT OFF THE TRUCK TODAY

@  David Bechtold : (12 September 2016 - 01:43 PM)

I have a 2017 GT350 on order with the CONVENIENCE GROUP package (67U) as the Recaros are too uncomfortable for daily driving. The Ford Factory Rep told my dealer that the build schedule is delayed becuase of an issues with the 67U package (recent Ford bulletin) and that if I went with just the ELECTRONICS GROUP package (67T), the car would schedule immediately. Does anyone know what the issues are...? I have GT500s and Boss 302s with the standard sport seats suggesting Ford should be very good at this. Why would there be an issue building a GT350 with sport seats over Recaros...?

2017 Shelby GT350 Ruby Red with recaros and black stripes available $5k over. Braeger Ford Milwaukee, WI (414)817-3345

1965 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350
Shelby takes some Cobra venom, see, and injects it into FoMoCo's pony…

Car and Driver - Not content with his Cobra-Powered-by-Ford, Carroll Shelby has now come up with a Ford-Powered-by-Cobra. The Ford in question is the “fastback” Mustang, and Shelby’s merry men have stuffed a burr of some size and effectiveness under its metaphorical saddle. The result is that while the Mustang is still recognizably the same horse, it has undergone a complete change of character. This new car, called the Mustang GT350, and known familiarly as the Shelby Mustang, will not have the mass appeal of the original, but by all that is sacred to us enthusiast-types, it certainly is a lot more interesting.

That was a nice, vintage article.
