@  KT/GT : (10 July 2017 - 10:29 AM)

I'm going to use Motul motor oil for my track use and was looking for suggestions on the oil filter to use. Best I can find is guys are saying to stick with the Ford OEM filter. Any suggestions?

@  KT/GT : (10 July 2017 - 10:28 AM)

I figured out how to disable to default valves in the pipes so the car's exhaust can be in track/sport mode all the time. With the car running and the exhaust in track mode (valves open) just unplug the wire connection at the rear of the car right by the exhaust tips. The valves must be open when you do this as the wires disconnected keeps it in whatever position they are in when you disconnect them. When you start the car it shows you a warning that the exhaust mode is not available but it goes off in 2 to 3 seconds and you do not have to hit "ok" to get rid of it. Much easier than changing it to track/sport mode each time.

@  smokum : (10 July 2017 - 10:08 AM)

Million dollar question ..... I would read the posts under oil consumption and you will get a better idea.

@  pguile131 : (09 July 2017 - 08:11 PM)

What is normal oil consumption

@  JohnCappola : (08 July 2017 - 10:05 AM)

I am new to this forum and would like to learn more about the 2016 Shelby GT-350.

@  KT/GT : (03 July 2017 - 06:08 PM)

I also will be using this car on the track and I have been told to disable the air bags as they have been activating on the rumble strips. Is this as simple as taking out a fuse?

Hi,

Has anyone found an aftermarket air filter for this car? I checked with Airaid, which is the brand I want, and they say they don't offer one. However Lethal Performance lists three part numbers on their website. Just curious.

Ford Performance offers one now, too. Part # M-9601-G. CJ PonyParts has them in stock

The oil filters I've been told is dated and the oil in the filter that you apply after cleaning can get into the engine and they say its not good. Don't know if it's a marketing scheme because I think non oil filters cost more. The non oil filters use a different type of cleaner you buy from whoever you get the filter from and that's it. No applying oil.

No I'm not looking to do any hp upgrades. Couldn't stand the fact the car had a paper filter. Also my filter now is blue and matches my stripes. 😬 Don't know how long non oil ones last but I'm sure pretty long.

the factory filter is not a oil filter per FRPP. The new filter does do a better job and can be reused where as the OEM cant.

My thoughts are to use the factory unitl it needs to be replaced and than buy M-9601-G

Got the Ford Performance air filter, it's actually an Air Raid. Definitely noticed a little more low end torque. Looks great. I like that Ford Performance is selecting certain aftermarket companies for their Performance line. I assume it'll keep the dealerships from giving us a hard time, not that it's ever been an issue for me. I've just read other owner's stories about aftermarket parts and warranty, etc

Just install the new performance and I do notice torque! Plus I had hood stouts installed. I have to keep opening my hood since so many folks want to see her engine lol!

You go to a tune and even though its not a huge upgrade it does change engine parameters ..... I would love to put headers a tune and a cai on my car but with the car eating oil at

a quart every 1000 miles which is within Fords normal range for this car if i have a engine problem my warranty could be void. I so far have stayed away from modding my motor which I very much want too
