I just got my Shelby GT 350 a couple of weeks ago so this is all new to me.  I have been reading about the Ford Performance Oil-Air Separator for Drivers Side and Passenger Side. People talk about these separately but I assume you need to install both kits is this correct?  Thanks for the help!

I would start with the passenger side only. Unless you are planning to do a significant amount of track time, I wouldn't worry about the driver's side. So far I have only seen oil accumulation in the passenger side. Nothing in the driver's side oil air separator.

I have both. I do not recommend the Ford version. I went with the JLT versions as they hold more and are very simple to empty. You probably only need the passenger side can but if you track, get both.

Can you clarify how the JLT separator is supported?  I like the Ford separator's mounting provisions.  Unless I'm wrong, the JLT just hangs on the hoses without a bracket.  Correct?  Any concerns about this?

The passenger side is held up by the short, stiff hoses. The driver side bolts onto an existing location. A small strap wrench opens both without removal.

I think I want to see a JLT in "in the flesh."  I'm concerned about its mass being supported by just the hoses, no matter how stiff they might be.  Seems it could use a dedicated support.

Mine is black. It's under cover or I would take a picture of mine. It is pretty small and does not seem to be a problem on my car yet.

Hello, just purchased a 2017 gt350.  Sorry to be behind the curve, but why would we need oil/air separators?  I also have a 2016 King Ranch with the 3.5 Ecoboost engine and am considering installing an oil catch can as these engines tend to clog up the back side of the intake valves -  due to increased blow by with the twin turbo's and direct injection.  Hence no fuel cleaning the back of the intake valves...is this the same issue?

I had the JLT catch cans on my GT500, very good company and good product, I fully endorse them.

That said, it helps but I don't think they are critical on a naturally aspirated motor

I just received driver and passenger side oil separators from Ford Performance. I'll install them this week in preparation of Saturday's track day.
