My 2016 used (burned through tailpipe; no leaks) one quart for each of the first 3,000 miles and has continued to get worse with the last quart burning out in 480 miles.  At this rate I would need to put in 14 quarts between regular oil changes.

I have not tracked the car or driven it hard because I am worried Ford would then blame me.  I've had it since April and just surpassed 9,000 miles; its my DD.

I've been working with Ford (to continue monitoring usage) but I'm curious about everyone's experience here.  How much oil do each of you use on a normal basis?  And what about track usage?

Same issue here ....... i had my oil changed at 3000 miles and was a quart low. Since I work at a Ford store they are doing the same thing.

Had the oil changed at 3000 and they marked the dip stick and will recheck at 4000 miles. I drive the car spiritedlyy but dont track it either

Keep us posted ....

I'm currently dealing with an issue in my Shelby where I'm burning a quart every 200 - 500 miles.

Third time in the shop, no warranty repair authorized from Factory.
~5500 miles and document service department addition of about 8 quarts total / not to mention me topping it off prior to starting the documentation process.

I'll keep you all posted.

Had my first oil consumption check at 4100 miles just now.

The test was between 3000 and 4100 miles. I used 1/2 a quart, it was visible on the

dipstick and I enjoy the car so I will at times drive it hard but not stupid hard.

Will be monitering this and keep everyone in the loop

It sure would be interesting to know what Ford found and maybe fixed in later cars.  I wonder if we can pin it to build dates?  My '17 is a mid-September 2016 build and hasn't burned any oil in 1000 miles.  I check it every time I drive it having heard the issues some folks are having.

Had my car checked today and I was only a 1/2 quart down. So over 2000 miles it required 1 qt. total which is in the acceptable range of ford. I am still going to have the store I work at moniter this for another 3 to 4000 more miles before I stop checking.

The car is eating oil yes but not nearly the amounts like others

Checked mine and noted the level no the dipstick. Since cooler lines were just replaced, this will be the start of a new monitoring period as they had to drain and refill for that.

Will check weekly.

Had 1st oil change at 485 miles no oil loss noticeably. Sent a sample out to Blackstone Labs, only HIGH reading was Cooper. Now have 2365 on engine 1880 on oil, down about 1 1/4 quarts. Mainly easy driving, occasionally pulls up to 7500 but no Track. Will have oil changed again at 2500 about 2000 on oil. Don't like that I'm down that much oil on so few miles

8/15/17

Just a little update here. I misread the dip stick, thinking the difference between top hole and bottom hole was 2 quarts. Just found out from "smokum" that it is the normal 1 quart. Thought I was down over a quart but it was really more like 3/8 of a quart, sorry for the misinformation.

I posted a note in the News section where all Ford GT350 Owners in the next few mths is getting a owners supplement which will consist of a torque cap to fit the oil filter and a

a oil filter for our cars ..... complimentary of Ford and a supplement guide to your owners manual.

What I find interesting is the supplement guide address "oil consumption in a big way"

Since I work for a dealership Im not going to go any further than just that

Today had the oil checked again between 5000 miles and 6600 miles. The car took 1 quart. So its not getting worse but not

getting better.

I guess I am using a little less than a 1/2 a quart of oil every 1000 miles. Is this acceptable in Fords flagship car ..... not sure.

I received my owners supplement in the mail today, which included a torque cap, oil filter and supplemental guide. It also suggests checking your oil level at every fill-up.

Ford knows they have a oil consumption problem with these motors. It isnt every motor but some motors eat oil and some motor devourer oil.

Several motors have already been replaced and I am one that has a slight oil problem issue about a quart every 1400 miles or so. ITs been constant and i have

been monitering this on serveral web sites.

Fords oil kit and addendum is just to make sure owners do there utmost best to make sure your not eating oil and reduce claims. Be pro active sorta/
