I'm going to use Motul motor oil for my track use and was looking for suggestions on the oil filter to use. Best I can find is guys are saying to stick with the Ford OEM filter. Any suggestions?

@  KT/GT : (10 July 2017 - 10:28 AM)

I figured out how to disable to default valves in the pipes so the car's exhaust can be in track/sport mode all the time. With the car running and the exhaust in track mode (valves open) just unplug the wire connection at the rear of the car right by the exhaust tips. The valves must be open when you do this as the wires disconnected keeps it in whatever position they are in when you disconnect them. When you start the car it shows you a warning that the exhaust mode is not available but it goes off in 2 to 3 seconds and you do not have to hit "ok" to get rid of it. Much easier than changing it to track/sport mode each time.

Million dollar question ..... I would read the posts under oil consumption and you will get a better idea.

I also will be using this car on the track and I have been told to disable the air bags as they have been activating on the rumble strips. Is this as simple as taking out a fuse?

@  KT/GT : (03 July 2017 - 06:07 PM)

Anyone out there know how to keep the exhaust in track/sport mode 100% of the time?

Just dropped my GT350 off at the dealer.
Had several oil spots on the garage floor and it appears to be originating from the oil cooler. I may have avoided a catastrophic failure, but the car is going to sit at the dealer for a long while.
Better than replacing the engine.

Has anyone had the recall repair for the oil cooler line yet? I talked to my dealer a few weeks ago and he said that the part was not available yet.

Have not gotten a notice yet but I called my local Ford Dealer parts department and asked if the part was available. When they told me there were six in Texas I immediately called the service department. I had to take the car in to get the part ordered on 3/2/17 and part came in on 3/10/17. Having it repaired on Monday 3/13 and will be at COTA on the 19th smile.png

I dropped the car off yesterday at 7 in the morning and it was done at 3 but due to significant track time, I also had them change the engine, trans and diff fluids.

FYI my service dept. replaced the line on the 2017 I bought today. He said he only had to take the center section off the front splitter to get to where he needed to be in the belly pan and that it only took about a half hour to replace. He did put new push pins in the center section of the belly pan.
