Hello All! I have a 2017 GT350R chassis HR687. Does anyone have the final breakdown on the 2017 production number totals and production of each specific model and option pkgs yet? Ford SVT told me there were 942 R's made and about 6000 GT's. Also, what is a good street tire to run on an R since no other company makes the R rear tire size? Can I run the front tire size on the rear of the R? I have seen phohot of guys running the 325-30-19 on the rear but it looks too large for the wheel well. I wanted to go with the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. Thanks!

@Biggest for a 2017 anything between 5 and 10 over is a good price but you'll have tough time finding the color you want. Popular color/stripes combo can easily go for 15/20 over. I'm not sure if I would even try to buy a 2018. Being the last production year I'd be surprised to see anything below 20 over sticker. My advice is to be patient and keep calling around all over the country. I got mine at 7 over sticker out of pure luck. Every single dealer that I spoke with before finding mine would not go below 15. All you need is one lucky situation where they are trying to get rid of it

@  panzer69 : (29 January 2018 - 01:15 PM)

yeah i agree with that, my dealer is selling his 60k above

IF YOU FOUND A GT350R AT MSRP ITS PROBABLY ALREADY SOLD TO SOMEONE ELSE .... JUMP ON IT ... DO NOT PAST GO DO NOT COLLECT $200

@  Biggest : (27 January 2018 - 10:10 AM)

Hey Guys, im new to this forum(registered now) Can any of you give me an idea of what a good price for a new 2017 Gt350R is? I have one on hold in New Jersey, Black with white stripe and electronic package, MSRP is $68020, I have not found one at MSRP so my question is whats a good/decient price on a 2017? Thanks

Heard this will kill the value of our cars especially the folks that paid the ADM over MSRP- they ill be just regular cars worth about $5,000 after six years old from what a Ford salesman told me told...

I agree - another year of high production will lower the collectibility and value of our GT350's.

The GT350 is an amazingly engineered Mustang from Ford and I like that there will be more of them, especially the GT350R.  It would be great to have more Ford GT cars too.  But I doubt that will happen despite the demand.  To me it is about the car, not the collectability.  I have no sympathy for the Ford dealers that have tacked on massive ADM amounts and will now be stuck selling their lots full of  2016 units at MSRP or less.  If you bought your car to enjoy for its manufactured intent, which is to drive it, good for you.  It has a decent MSRP considering all the special and exclusive parts (engine, brakes, suspension, etc.).  I would love to see them on the street.  Maybe not as much as the over produced GT500 series, but at least like those  drive a Boss 302, many as a daily driver.

I have never paid over MSRP for any vehicle, including my power toys.  It never makes sense to me.  But I also buy the car to drive and put the posters on the wall for viewing.  I do not have a current edition Ford GT350.  I see them at car shows and a few on some tracks when I visit where they are running.  But I have yet to see them cruising even on weekends.  With more available, hopefully prices will stay down and we can see more of them being enjoyed.

One thing to keep in mind, I dont recall Ford saying it would be a two year run like they said with the GT500 in 06

I was one of the first on the block with a 07 GT500 and got lucky, I worked for a Ford store and paid $3000 over msrp

when dealers were getting $25000 over and more.

I am a ford dealer. It seemed as though dealers were sitting on GT350's. The reality is there was a delivery hold on them and we could not deliver them until about one month ago. We were waiting for the oil cooler line recall parts to be available and that recall had to be completed before we could deliver them.
As far as ford building too many of them I just dont see that. My store sells over 2000 new fords per year and i got two for the year. No dealer anywhere gets enough to supply demand thats why the additional markup. When customers are no longer willing to pay that the price goes down. GT500's brought over MSRP right to the last one. Dont get neverous and thinking there is some oversupply of GT350's...its just not the case. For instance, the Pittsburgh region including the are thru Cleveland to buffalo and rochester NY received 7 GT350R's. A very small number for a large market area.

wag before you put the blower on check with VMP Performance.... they did all my work on my 750 hp GT500 that I traded in on the GT350.

There performance shop owns a GT350 and they use it for a test mule for their tunes, on thing that the head tuner told me, BJ, you will never see a blower on there car .....

this engine wasnt meant to be blown

Call them before you do it just to CYA
