I'm going to use Motul motor oil for my track use and was looking for suggestions on the oil filter to use. Best I can find is guys are saying to stick with the Ford OEM filter. Any suggestions?

@  KT/GT : (10 July 2017 - 10:28 AM)

I figured out how to disable to default valves in the pipes so the car's exhaust can be in track/sport mode all the time. With the car running and the exhaust in track mode (valves open) just unplug the wire connection at the rear of the car right by the exhaust tips. The valves must be open when you do this as the wires disconnected keeps it in whatever position they are in when you disconnect them. When you start the car it shows you a warning that the exhaust mode is not available but it goes off in 2 to 3 seconds and you do not have to hit "ok" to get rid of it. Much easier than changing it to track/sport mode each time.

Million dollar question ..... I would read the posts under oil consumption and you will get a better idea.

I am new to this forum and would like to learn more about the 2016 Shelby GT-350.

@  KT/GT : (03 July 2017 - 06:08 PM)

I also will be using this car on the track and I have been told to disable the air bags as they have been activating on the rumble strips. Is this as simple as taking out a fuse?

@  KT/GT : (03 July 2017 - 06:07 PM)

Anyone out there know how to keep the exhaust in track/sport mode 100% of the time?

I have all ready worn through my front and rear ???? pads. There are clips on the ears/end of the pad that are almost touching my rotors. I usually go through three sets of fronts for every set of years. I've done near a hundred brake jobs after nearly 30 years of racing and I have never seen rear pad wear like this. The brass clip doesn't appear to be a retaining or anti-rattle clip and appeared very close to the rotor when fresh.Ford is saying pads are back ordered through June which is not going to work. I did buy a set of fronts when I got the car but never bothered with rears.I contacted my race car builder to reach out to Brembo for pads. Any hands on knowledge would be appreciated. I usually run my pads just shy of the backing plate which these clips will prevent.

How many miles did this take to get the pads to nothing and I assume your car is tracked  regularly ?

I would call FRPP and as you already thought of Brembo ..... Im thinking the rear caliper is a generic that I bet fits many

manufacturer cars which means the pads would work as well

Let us know if you find aftermarket pads

I have 4000 miles and 4 track days. Two at mid-ohio and 2 at the Autobahn. I figured out the tabs on the pads are wear sensors so I bent them out of the way giving me more pad material remaining which I took advantage of yesterday. I have fall-line motorsports researching brake pads for me.

I have 3000 miles and about 900 on track and I have 3/4 pad left.
Sounds like the traction control is eating up the rear pads.
