@  KT/GT : (10 July 2017 - 10:29 AM)

I'm going to use Motul motor oil for my track use and was looking for suggestions on the oil filter to use. Best I can find is guys are saying to stick with the Ford OEM filter. Any suggestions?

@  KT/GT : (10 July 2017 - 10:28 AM)

I figured out how to disable to default valves in the pipes so the car's exhaust can be in track/sport mode all the time. With the car running and the exhaust in track mode (valves open) just unplug the wire connection at the rear of the car right by the exhaust tips. The valves must be open when you do this as the wires disconnected keeps it in whatever position they are in when you disconnect them. When you start the car it shows you a warning that the exhaust mode is not available but it goes off in 2 to 3 seconds and you do not have to hit "ok" to get rid of it. Much easier than changing it to track/sport mode each time.

@  smokum : (10 July 2017 - 10:08 AM)

Million dollar question ..... I would read the posts under oil consumption and you will get a better idea.

@  pguile131 : (09 July 2017 - 08:11 PM)

What is normal oil consumption

@  JohnCappola : (08 July 2017 - 10:05 AM)

I am new to this forum and would like to learn more about the 2016 Shelby GT-350.

@  KT/GT : (03 July 2017 - 06:08 PM)

I also will be using this car on the track and I have been told to disable the air bags as they have been activating on the rumble strips. Is this as simple as taking out a fuse?

Hello everyone!

I never thought this day will ever come but in about a week I will take delivery of a brand new 2017 GT350R. Black with black stripes/red accent, electronics package. I attached a picture taken at the dealership. Needless to say, I'm super excited.

I had to pay over MSRP but I was able to get what I think is a fair deal. Especially considering that here in So Cal used GT350Rs trade hands for ~150,000 on average. The car right now it's in Florida, on her way to LA. The first thing I'll do is to put XPEL all over the front bumper, hood and side impact zones.

It's really hot here in the LA county over the summer and all the racetracks are out in the desert, so unfortunately I won't be able to track it until mid-September. I really can't wait!

I bought it from Walkers Ford in Clearwater. During my (short) lifetime I only bad experiences with car dealerships but with them it was a smooth and easy process and most importantly they were very reasonable in terms of pricing.

I looked for a black-on-black R for I don't even remember how long. I found a couple in the past but they were both listed for more than 120K. When I saw that they had one available I called them immediately.

Are you getting it to race it or just to have a collectible ?

Thank you!

I'll take it to the track very often, I'm shooting for one track day a month. I know it might hurt its value but it's a car that is meant to be driven on the track. Buying an R and not tracking it is like wasting money in my opinion.

I have taken the delivery of the car a few hours ago. I never felt so excited about a car. The car was unloaded from the delivery truck and I immediately drove it to the canyons. I put over 100 miles on it in a couple of hours. The car is absolutely insane. At the moment I really have no words - I really don't know how to describe it. Below is a link to a quick video

What a great day for you and what a drop dead gorgous car that is. WOW ........ I can appreciate your excitement and its well deserved !!

The black with the black striipes I think our one of the best color combos for a R .... the other being in red

I have yet to see a R on the road ..... mind driving it back to Florida ?  :)

Enjoy it !

Nope, I only had a GoPro Session on my head and the windows were rolled down. The car is simply incredibly loud.

Ya thats crazy ....... A suggestion .... keep a eye every 1000 miles on your oil ..... these engines can eat oil so be aware of it
