Hello All! I have a 2017 GT350R chassis HR687. Does anyone have the final breakdown on the 2017 production number totals and production of each specific model and option pkgs yet? Ford SVT told me there were 942 R's made and about 6000 GT's. Also, what is a good street tire to run on an R since no other company makes the R rear tire size? Can I run the front tire size on the rear of the R? I have seen phohot of guys running the 325-30-19 on the rear but it looks too large for the wheel well. I wanted to go with the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. Thanks!

I hit enter to quick. Where are the best locations for a jack and subsequent jack stands?

@Biggest for a 2017 anything between 5 and 10 over is a good price but you'll have tough time finding the color you want. Popular color/stripes combo can easily go for 15/20 over. I'm not sure if I would even try to buy a 2018. Being the last production year I'd be surprised to see anything below 20 over sticker. My advice is to be patient and keep calling around all over the country. I got mine at 7 over sticker out of pure luck. Every single dealer that I spoke with before finding mine would not go below 15. All you need is one lucky situation where they are trying to get rid of it

@  panzer69 : (29 January 2018 - 01:15 PM)

yeah i agree with that, my dealer is selling his 60k above

Is it just me or do Lexus cars seem to lack performance overall? Just seem to be gutless compared to our GT350 and even my old 2006 Nissan Z350.

of course ...... not too many cars that can compete with the GT350.  I personally feel that if you order a set of R wheels and tires and put them on a GT350 with identical drivers,  both cars would turn

similar times .... the R should be a tad faster but only by nano seconds ..... the R weighs a little less and I think the suspension is ever so slightly diffferent

anyone else want to chime in ?

I am looking into the R carbon fiber rims myself- hope the come down in price. Less weight at the tires/rims makes a big difference!

The Lexus LC 500 is already dead.  Bury it.  My local dealer had six on the lot.   Way, way over-weight (4400 lbs),  It doesn't even break 500hp.

Consumers are not sold on it.   Outstanding visually, performance and handing are mediocre at best.

Did poorly in a sports car comparison tests in one of the car mags recently.
