Hello All! I have a 2017 GT350R chassis HR687. Does anyone have the final breakdown on the 2017 production number totals and production of each specific model and option pkgs yet? Ford SVT told me there were 942 R's made and about 6000 GT's. Also, what is a good street tire to run on an R since no other company makes the R rear tire size? Can I run the front tire size on the rear of the R? I have seen phohot of guys running the 325-30-19 on the rear but it looks too large for the wheel well. I wanted to go with the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. Thanks!

@Biggest for a 2017 anything between 5 and 10 over is a good price but you'll have tough time finding the color you want. Popular color/stripes combo can easily go for 15/20 over. I'm not sure if I would even try to buy a 2018. Being the last production year I'd be surprised to see anything below 20 over sticker. My advice is to be patient and keep calling around all over the country. I got mine at 7 over sticker out of pure luck. Every single dealer that I spoke with before finding mine would not go below 15. All you need is one lucky situation where they are trying to get rid of it

@  panzer69 : (29 January 2018 - 01:15 PM)

yeah i agree with that, my dealer is selling his 60k above

I ordered a 2018 Shelby GT350 with the following options:

-Electronics Package

-Triple Yellow Tri-coat Paint

-Black w/ White Accent Racing Stripe

-Owner's Protection Plan (7 year/75,000 mile warranty on all mechanical and electric components)

-Ziebart Vehicle Protection Package (rust protection, sound deadener, and fabric protection)

The total cost will be about $66,000.

I started the reservation process on 02 January 2018. I plan to have the car shipped to Germany around the April-May timeframe next year.

I'm PCSing from Germany back to the States in September 2019, so I'm having the car delivered after the winter time but a few months before I leave. The car will be sales tax free since I'm overseas and I plan on registering it here first then keeping it for at least 90 days. My home state of Missouri's DoR rules for TTL says that if I bring the car into the state and register after 90 days out of state, it will be sales tax free as well! $$$

Thanks Tom!

I'll be sure to take it out on the Autobahn once I get used to it. I'm glad to hear you were a part of 1ID. Coincidentally, my last duty station was Fort Riley, Kansas where 1ID is currently stationed. Big Red One heh.

Small world! Yeah, I was 18 years old and when I left Germany I was E-5 and married lol! I retired as a CW-4 and now work for the feds in Seattle.  It won't take you long to get use to the GT350- she's smooth! She will purr at 160 mph! Wish the U.S. had an Autobahn. I90 in Montana is as close as we can get. I might go there this summer to open her up - cops there are pretty easy going compared to WA state troopers!
